The Easter Bunny found Red Frog Marina, and he brought Danny his favorite whopper eggs!

I slipped outside early to watch the morning arrive.  It was beautiful and I soaked it all in, realizing that it’ll be my last for a few weeks because tomorrow morning we will be leaving early for our flights back to California.

We decided to head for an early morning sail, and as we did, it started to pour.

Once we were out of the mangroves and entered the open ocean, the sun came out streaming through the clouds.  It was so beautiful. Danny is the greatest Captain, and so happy at the helm.

After sailing over beautiful rolling 8 – 10ft swells for quite some time, we made our way through ‘The Gap,’ and into a lagoon of mangrove islands. I felt like we had entered into a National Geographic Documentary.

Our favorite spot to sit while underway, if we aren’t at the helm, are in one of the bow seats.  It feels like you’re flying low, barely skimming the water. Danny is perched in one of them here.

We passed by many structures on stilts out on the water.  Many had hammocks hanging from rafters over the water.

We came across an area that was particularly beautiful.  The water was clear and looked great for snorkeling. So we dropped the anchor into a sand patch and explored under water for a while.

Interesting for Easter morning, I came across a submerged cross.

After rinsing off we kayaked in to a restaurant that was close by, right on the reef we’d just snorkeled.

Resturante Cayo Coral.  A beautiful place in a beautiful setting, with extremely fresh seafood!

Afterward we kayaked back to Tanda Malaika and came back home.  in our home. What a wonderful Easter it’s been.

Tonight Danny and Steve will be playing at Castaways restaurant.  I’m excited for that!!!

I have to post before and after photo’s of my scrubbing job.  I scraped my heart out and got every last creature off the dingy, then I took a scrub brush and tried to get sea weed growth and whatever that brown muck was that was glued to it off. I think it looks pretty good.

While I was doing that, Danny worked SO hard on the engines. He took things apart and cleaned them and fixed things that haven’t been fixed on this boat for quite some time. At one point he dropped one of his tools in the water by mistake.  I grabbed a mask and dove down and found it.  Since I was already in, I took a scrub brush and scrubbed Tanda Malaika’s starboard hull. I made a couple of friends down there – both Jacks.  They stayed close to my hands, and when I scrubbed they would eat particles that I had broken free. I dove deeper and scrubbed the keel and they followed and stayed close to me.

This evening Danny and I sat out on the back deck and ate dinner, enjoying the quiet of the marina.

We love our new home.

Right now Steve is over and he and Danny are practicing on their guitars. Tomorrow night they will be singing and playing at a restaurant close by.  They sound SO SO good together!
