Bionic Woman
I had my Cardiology appointment this morning. Over this last year since my Pacemaker was installed, every time I go in, they have to adjust the contraption and then reschedule me for a month’s time for a recheck. A few months ago they did an ablation to try calm down the rapid fire response unit that were constantly blazing away inside me. Today however, my Cardiologist was very pleased. My pacemaker is pacing 25% of the time and I still have about 7 or 8 years of battery life left. He said it all looks great and he doesn’t need to to see me for another 6-12 months. I told him that’s good because we are moving to Panama and I wouldn’t be back for frequent check ups. He got a big smile on his face and told me that he feels confident that my heart is ready for this next adventure.
Like I told the creatures, I’m a Bionic Woman and I don’t have an off switch, so watch out. This girl is going to be a legendary ‘Pirate’ Lady standing strong by her tall dark and handsome Captain Dan.
Busy day
Our day started with Aidan and Mycah’s appointments. Both went well. Mycah’s Chiropractor is also from South Africa, it was fun to talk Afrikaans with him. He’s a great guy. Aidan was very disappointed though, because he REALLY wants to weigh over 100lbs, and when they weighed him today he was 99lbs. So close! I of course didn’t bring up the fact that he was fully dressed, including his tennis shoes…I didn’t want to disappoint him more.
A sweet friend of mine texted me and said she could take me on to the Army base to look for boxes. They didn’t have any today, but perhaps tomorrow. It was so kind of her to think of us.
Blue Bones came over at about 4 o clock. For 5 hours he sat and chatted non stop.
I’ve never met anyone who can talk as much as he does. What a character. he has the greatest stories. When he arrived he had a bag of oranges and a little grater as a gift for Hannah. He told her that Orange Bread is his favorite. She got the message and baked two loaves of Orange Bread and sent some home with him when he left tonight.
It is delicious. Plus it gave us a chance to try out our new silicone bread pans that we got for the boat (since they won’t rust), and they worked out well. Tomorrow I’ll try my regular bread recipe in them.
I didn’t get as much done today as I’d hoped, but tomorrow I’ll work twice as hard!
