Happy 14 month Wedding Anninversary Darling

Today, my Sweet Danny and I celebrate our 14 month Wedding Anniversary!

A wonderful friend of mine, Kirk Shorte, who is a photographer in Hawaii, took this photo of me free diving in my wedding dress. When ever I see this photo, it reminds me of how until Danny and I met, he had been traveling the world to find me, flying over distant lands. I was in Africa and then finally here to America and he had to fly all the way to Hawaii for us to meet. I on the other hand, was searching the worlds oceans for him. I searched everywhere in many oceans. Finally, of all the crazy places to meet, we met on land! Who’d have thought!

I am so grateful for a wonderful husband, who not only is my sweet soul mate who I am so excited to spend the rest of forever with, but who is such a wonderful father to our 11 children. Danny has filled our lives with love, laughter and kindness. He is a huge strength that I have come to rely on, and my goal is to be the best friend, adventure partner and wife to him as possible. Thank you for 14 months of so much love and learning Danny. I love you!

Last day in Oxnard

It’s been quite a busy day!  We spent a little time in the rain on Time Out. The weather didn’t cooperate very well…we had fog then rain then fog and more rain. It was beautiful though!

Mycah went and secretly surprised her water polo and swim team friends and coach.  She spent the day with them and said everyone was so excited, and in tears of joy to see her.

In the mean time, the rest of the creatures and I drove to Camarillo and picked up the Stand up Paddle Boards that we purchased for the boat. We slide one into the BAT, and it stretches clear from the windshield to the back window, and the other three are in their boxes on the roof!

It may not look high in the photo, but with the truck already up high, it is such a ridiculously high load. Between the use of come-alongs and some serious sailing knots, I have them securely strapped on so tight, they’ll never come off!

The creatures and I spent some time in the whirlpool and swimming pool at the hotel. The heat from the whirlpool felt so good on my back. Jude pointed out that she is very bothered by the paint job in the whirlpool.

Who ever painted the sides, painted right over some of the tile work too, and Jude, who has meticulously been staining and painting on Time Out, did not appreciate the shoddy work. It made me smile. I am grateful for creatures who take pride in what they do.

When ever I fly anywhere with the creatures, ever since they were little, I’ve always prepared a snack bag for them to enjoy on the trip.  I realize the creatures are older now, but I still can’t resist…so today I prepared their treat bags for the flight on Thursday.

There’s an assortment of crackers, slim jims, yogurt covered raisins, gum, candy etc. I love doing silly little things like this for them.

My Darling is doing well on his trip. All has gone well. I’ve missed him and the creatures have too. Today the kids went down to the pool ahead of me, and when I got down there, they were in the whirlpool talking to an older couple.  I heard them talking non stop, and so proudly, all about their dad and his fun personality and awesome skills as a drone pilot as well as a pilot of any thing else. I’m so grateful for him and for the wonderful father he is to all 11 of our children. They feel so loved by him.

I saw this sign today and thought it applied well to our family. Only 2 more days till we are in our home on the Caribbean.
