Water taxi ride to Bocas

Our day began with the creatures attempting to help one of our neighbor boats find their pet parrot that had taken a leave of absence into the jungle.  No luck.  Then a water taxi ride into Bocas. Danny and the creatures and I pretty much filled the taxi, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and somewhat calm waters.

The creatures LOVED Bocas with its brightly colored buildings and quaint stores.

Danny had to run an errand and borrowed a local guy named Angel’s bike.  He looked so cute cycling down the road.

We then returned to Tanda Malaika,

and everyone rolled their (non existent) sleeves up and we scrubbed the berth, heads, hulls, salon and galley. It felt so good to wipe her down from top to bottom and leave her in ship shape.

The remainder of the afternoon was spent lazily reading and then the neighbor kids came over to play spoons with the creatures.  Jonathan cooked his crabs and ate crab legs as he watched them play.

This evening Lady Di and Oom Steve are over and we are all singing as they play the guitar.

Just another day in PARADISE.

I spoke with my Sweet Mom and Dad on FaceTime today. I love them so much. My Dad continues to work through the pains and weaknesses that the cancer brings each day, and is such an amazing example to everyone around him. My Momma is healing up from her eye and shoulder surgery, and is such a beautiful soul. We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents.
