Life and death

Since being in Georgetown, Exumas, our exploring has slowed down a bit, but adventures as always, continue.Our first plan of attack was to see if anyone in town could repair the broken link in the autopilot chain. Danny was able to find help at Browns Marine, and for $40 they fixed it for us.

Chad and Marci did their laundry in town. Chad makes a fine sherpa. We also had our propane tanks filled.

The creatures have been practicing their tricks and backward flips off the boat and have Mycah doing them too now. They are busy trying to teach Emma. So far she has had success with backward dives.

Georgetown is a quaint little town with a pretty good grocery store. There is a gentleman who Marci has met with several times, to purchase fresh coconuts.

There is a small market in town where Chad found himself a fancy hat!

It has been so hot, and we are grateful for a wonderful big pool too cool down in.

The twins turned 14 yesterday. I am so grateful for their sweet personalities.They are so smart and so fun to be around. Aidan is hilarious and is always so positive and happy. Emma is our little rock n roll star and is so sweet and shares unique thoughts and approaches. She is non judgmental and like her brother, is kind hearted. Last night we went out for hamburgers and an ice-cream. We sat out by the water and ate.

WE have known about some exciting news for a while now and can finally share it. Danny and i are going to become grandparents!!! You may now call us Ouma and Oupa! Hunter and Nonna are expecting a baby girl and we are so excited for them. She is 20 weeks along. She is going to be the best little sailor!

Today marks 1 year since my Dad left us. We miss him so much. Over this year I have learned to be still and listen quietly. It is in these moments – especially under the stars on the bow, that I feel him even closer. I had the best childhood and spent wonderful time with him, and have tried hard to not live with or focus on any regrets. I am so grateful that he no longer lives with the pain he had experiences for so long.

In this season that my life is in right now, I love that I am spending it exploring with the creatures that are still home with us, and with my wonderful husband by my side. We are so blessed to be able to travel the world. I want to do more good. I want to serve and help people feel loved and understood.
