My morning began with with a text from Jude, telling me that she loves me, followed by a text from Danny, wishing me a good morning and telling me how much he loves me. Danny sent the above photo of Jude and said she was cooking pancakes for breakfast.

I ran creatures to school and then took care of some phone calls that needed to be made. One of which was to the Funeral Home that we will be using for my sweet Dad. Since I will be leaving for Panama in a couple weeks I feel the need to take care of as much paper work and planning as possible, to help relieve stress for my Mom, Brother and Sister, when my Father dies. Hopefully I will be back before then, but since life is uncertain, I need to take care of business now.  Tomorrow morning my sister and I will meet with the Funeral Director.

We ran some errands in town, including going to Target and getting Aidan’s new iPod replaced. I wasn’t sure if they would replace it.  He was wrestling with his cousins and one of their knees hit his pocket where his iPod was and it bent it, leaving it all buckled.  Target decided to replace it and Aidan is one happy and relieved boy!

Danny sent many more pictures from his and Hannah’s excursion onto the island.

After roaming around in town they went back to Tanda Malaika and scrubbed her down.  She had lots of salt caked on her from their crossing.

They decided to fix the topping lift and sent Jude up the 70ft mast in the bosuns chair.

Here she is strapping in and getting ready to be hoisted up the mast.

That black object clear up at the top is her!  Hannah who is afraid of heights. She tackles her fears the same way I do…just do it and get over it!  She took photos from way up there.  Notice how small Danny looks below in his blue shirt.

One of the cruisers has arranged for a couple taxi’s to come to the dock tomorrow and take several of them at the anchorage to a place where they can hike.  They will hike to the ruins of a big drug lords home (Escobar), where he was caught, and then afterward to a beach where they will all have a picnic together.

This afternoon two of my dearest friends stopped by to visit.  Kimber and Troy Dameron.  Troy and I graduated together and Kimber was my EMT instructor. What wonderful friends they are. You know you have true friends when you can go for months with no contact, and then when you do get together its as if no time had passed at all.

Afterward, some other dear friends of ours stopped by and brought dinner with them. What a treat.  She made some really delicious stuffed shells. This evening my Dad and Aunty Liz talked for quite some time concerning their childhood in Africa.  Such funny stories which explained a lot of where my mischief came from! It felt good to laugh and to see everyone else laughing too.

What a wonderful day.
