Anyone seen the BMW keys???!

This morning I spent some time with my Kefir babies. I was so excited when my sister gave me new Kefir because I want to have it on the boat.  Kefir is a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts. The cottage cheese/cauliflower looking stuff in the pic,  is the kefir, and all you do is place it in a jar with some milk and it goes to town.  It curdles the milk, and because of the fermentation process, very little lactose remains so those who are lactose intolerant are able to enjoy kefir.  I drink it with some honey mixed up in it, and I use it in my breads and pancakes and it tastes just like sour dough. It’s delicious and so healthy for you.

Danny sent a photo of his lunch on the beach the other day.

Looks like he couldn’t possibly have ordered fresher fish than that! I’m not sure I can eat something that’s staring at me…

He also sent these photos of his and Hannah’s beach time.  The wind is still howling like crazy. There is a possibility that sometime around Saturday afternoon, the wind might calm down long enough for them to start sailing back toward Panama.  They’ll be on a run so should make pretty good time.  The plan for now is that they’ll anchor at San Andreas Island that night then continue on the following day. Danny has been so impressed and touched by the friendliness and sincerity of the cruising friends they have made at anchor. Today him and his new buddies were pouring through Tanda Malaika, fixing things and cleaning, and giving him awesome advice on things that they have learned from their cruising experiences. We’ve made some life long friends already.  Danny purchased a brand new spinnaker for Tanda Malaika from one of them. Isn’t is pretty!

This evening Danny made SPAM fried rice for him and Jude for dinner.  He never ceases to amaze and impress me:)

We spent our afternoon and evening searching for the BMW keys. Someone responded to the add for the car and wants to look at it tomorrow and now we can’t find the darn keys! I will be calling the BMW dealership in the morning to see if they can sell me another key.  I have no doubt it will be at a pretty price, and just as soon as I buy one, we will find them.

This evening was so beautiful. It is raining now and I am finally tired enough to get some rest. Tomorrow morning we will go in to the hospital with my sweet Dad, for his surgery. While we do that, Hunter and Mycah will drive to SLC to pick Kjira up and bring her back her. We are so excited to see her.
